If you enjoy browsing through second-hand shops, you should definitely pay a visit to Jam. The shop is best known for its carefully curated selection of clothing, but it has much more to offer than that. With vintage finds, decorative items, furniture, lamps and all sorts of little treasures, there’s always something new to discover.

Everything seems to have been chosen and presented with great care. You quickly realise that the aim here isn’t simply to sell as much stock as possible, but that the emphasis is on quality and character. That’s what makes every visit so exciting.

For vinyl enthusiasts, there’s also a small section dedicated to records. Whilst there aren’t endless rows of shelves here, just a few boxes, that’s precisely what makes it so appealing to me. The selection is surprisingly good and feels thoughtfully curated. Alongside well-known classics, you’ll often come across exciting discoveries and, occasionally, real treasures – all at fair prices.

This is a great place to start, especially for those who are just beginning to collect. But even seasoned record hunters should pop in from time to time, as the stock is regularly updated. It’s often in the smaller collections that you unexpectedly come across an album you weren’t even looking for.

Although Jam is primarily a second-hand shop, its small vinyl section has become a real hidden gem for me. Anyone living in the Solothurn area who enjoys browsing through records should definitely have a look through the record crates on their next visit.
